Saturday’s EFL Championship match between Millwall and newly relegated Sunderland ended in a 2-2 draw. A scoreline that, on the surface, won’t stand out to many.

By the time Adam Matthews equalized on a cross that literally had no business finding the back of the net — it was a pass! — the crew couldn’t hold it together.

This was a second-division English professional soccer match, but it might as well have been an after-work beer league match. That goalkeeping could not have been worse.
